I'm a registered adult nurse, working in NHS Grampian, Scotland, as Lead Nurse Excellence and Innovation (Nurse Accreditation), and I also hold the roles of Magnet Programme Director and Pathway Programme Director for the organisations in NHS Grampian on their nursing excellence journeys. I have over 20 years of experience across several roles and specialities including communicable diseases, women’s health, infection prevention and control, cardiology and practice education, both in community and hospital settings. I hold a Diploma (DipHe), Degree, (BA) and Masters (MSc) in Nursing plus a PG Cert in Learning and Teaching and Assessment. I'm a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), a licenced LEO Leadership Facilitator, and an Associate Lecturer at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland.
